Roundtable Discussion with Charlie Kroll ’01

Join Brown EP and the Nelson Center for a Roundtable Discussion with Charlie Kroll ’01, Co-Founder and President/COO of Ellevest. Come discuss Charlie’s entrepreneurial career, his experiences helping build one of CNBC’s top 50 “Disruptor” companies (Ellevest), and the fintech industry.
In order to ensure a personalized experience for all the participants, the roundtable is limited to 12 students. Those interested in participating should complete this form by Monday, February 3 at 7:00 pm. Selected participants will be notified by Tuesday, February 4. Priority will be given to those who demonstrate in the form how this event will be beneficial to them. Please submit only if you can commit to attending the event.

Bio: 
Charlie Kroll is the Co-Founder and President/COO of Ellevest, a digital-first, mission-driven investment platform for women. Ellevest is one of the fastest growing digital investment platforms and has been named #24 on CNBC’s top 50 “Disruptor” list, #14 on LinkedIn’s 50 “Hottest Startups To Work For” (and #2 in New York), and one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top 100 Brilliant Ideas.

Before launching Ellevest, Kroll was founder and CEO of Andera, a venture-backed provider of customer acquisition solutions in the financial services industry, acquired by Bottomline Technologies (NASDAQ: EPAY) in April 2014. He led all aspects of company growth from dorm room startup to profitable industry leader with over 100 employees, 3 offices, and 600 financial institution customers.

Kroll is passionate about entrepreneurship and actively involved in the startup community, as a founding board member of Venture for America, former chair of the Brown University Entrepreneurship Program, Techstars mentor, and advisor to a number of startups. He was named New England Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the United States Small Business Administration (SBA), and is a past Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist. Kroll has a BA from Brown University ’01 and currently serves on the Brown University President’s Leadership Council.
