Founder Fridays: Anne Marie Darling ’93, How Entrepreneurship Helped Navigate my Career at Goldman Sachs

Entrepreneurship has been an essential skill set throughout Anne Marie Darling’s career. Anne Marie earned an engineering degree from Brown University in 1993 and later an MBA from New York University’s Stern A School of Business in 2000. She then went on to work at the American Stock Exchange managing the research team. While in business school, she soon landed a role at Goldman Sachs in 1999 in the Electronic Trading Group and then named managing director in 2007 and partner in 2012. Throughout that time she has served as the chief operating officer of Global Securities Division Sales and now is head of the Multi-Asset Platform sales team, as well as on Securities Division Client and Business Standards Committee.

During Anne Marie’s interview with Danny Warshay, the Executive Director at the Nelson Center, she will describe her career path at Goldman Sachs and will walk us through how she used entrepreneurship to think innovatively and strategically through each step in her career. She will describe how she scaled the firm’s product offerings to a broader institutional client base and how she led key initiatives including client relationship management, business strategy and client and trading analysis across her division.
