Each year, the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship invites experienced entrepreneurs to serve as Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs). These professionals offer valuable mentorship to teams at various stages of their entrepreneurial journey.
The Peer Entrepreneur-In-Residence (PEIR) program is a vital component of the Nelson Center’s Venture Support resources. Students serve as mentors and offer valuable support to their peers. With expertise gained from their own ventures or internships, many PEIRs also bring sector-specific knowledge and can connect students with additional resources.
Become a Mentor
Mentoring is a rewarding experience and a way to give back your time and expertise to help mold the next generation of entrepreneurs. The time commitment varies for mentors depending on the program, though we work hard to facilitate matches with ventures and our programming that will accommodate a variety of schedules and availability.
Celebrating Mentorship
Each year, the Nelson Center honors exceptional mentors through the Barrett Hazeltine Mentoring in Entrepreneurship Award.
