Lorine Pendleton ’91 is an investor and seasoned business development executive with extensive experience in the legal, technology and entertainment industries. She focuses on investing and advising women and diverse-led businesses in order to level the playing field so these entrepreneurs have equal access to financial, social and human capital. She is a Lead Investor in Portfolia’s Rising America Fund, which invests in companies with founders of color, women, LGBTQ or companies with products or services addressing these markets. She is a member of Pipeline Angels, a network of women investors who have collectively invested $6 million in 80+ companies. Lorine is on the Board of Directors of the Angel Capital Association (ACA) and is their first African-American board member in its history. She was named by Marie Claire as one of the “Most 50 Connected Women in America,” by Worth as one of the 16 Financial Powerhouses in their March Women & Wealth issue, by Medium as one of the “200 Women of Color to Follow on Twitter,” and by Black Enterprise as “20 Angel Investors You Should Know.”
Pendleton graduated from Brown University with a BA in Economics) and her earned her JD from New York Law School (JD).
