Join us for the Barrett Hazeltine Prize in Entrepreneurial Mentorship Celebration on May 10, 2022, at 4:00 pm ET! Here from Danny Warshay ’87, executive director of the Nelson Center, as well as Professor Hazeltine, and the honoree(s). The past few years, we have had the honor of connecting with alumni all over the world for this event and have decided to keep it virtual for this reason! We say, the more the merrier … and it is such an honor to reconnect with folks that cannot make it to campus.
Professor Barrett Hazeltine has been mentoring and inspiring Brown University students for decades. In honor of his dedication to student mentoring, and in particular, of his mentorship of aspiring entrepreneurs, a group of alumni came together to start the Hazeltine Mentoring in Entrepreneurship Award.
Mentorship is a critical component of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and of resources that we provide at the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship, particularly for aspiring entrepreneurs and students starting ventures of their own. Former recipients include Jessica Kim ‘00, Kris Brown ‘89, Deb Mills-Scofield ’82, and Troy Henikoff ’86. What do all these amazing people have in common: a passion for student entrepreneurship!
