B-Lab 2023
B-Lab is an intensive 8-week accelerator program that supports student entrepreneurs developing high-impact ventures. We are welcoming 15 ventures that address unmet needs in a wide range of market sectors: financial and legal tech for small-medium businesses, a medical device and program to address nicotine addictions, an app for friendship to combat loneliness, a technical certification software for hiring/recruiting, a platform designed to inspire collaboration between musicians, and many more.
The venture founders from Brown University and RISD bring diverse perspectives, strengths, and interests to the cohort. They are bound together by their passion for creating meaningful solutions to important challenges in exciting markets, and they represent some of the most advanced ventures in the Brown entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Aries Beauty Hauz
Aries Beauty Hauz is a dedicated marketplace curating the finest Black-owned beauty products from global creators. We champion inclusivity and equality, providing an accessible platform for Black and Brown consumers while facilitating creators to showcase their products, bypassing traditional, exclusionary routes.

DeCert enables companies to hire better developers, faster. Developers demonstrate their skills through standardized technical certifications (à la Common Application). freedays is developing a mobile application to help vape users stop vaping by delivering a highly personalized program for gradually reducing their nicotine consumption. The program integrates cognitive behavioral therapy practices, provides actionable metrics of improvement, and creates spaces for quitters to connect and support one another. freedays also offers spaces for users to bet on themselves and their friends and is considering developing a hardware component to track users’ compliance with the goals they set for themselves in a more accurate way.
