Founded in 2020 by Cecile Schreidah ‘24 and Brandon Avendano ‘24, Notable Narratives, a 2023 BVP prize-winning venture, is a non-profit mentoring service that pairs First Generation, Low-Income (FGLI) high school students with FGLI mentors to help them through the college application process. As of 2025, Notable Narratives empowered over 1500 students in 102 countries, 50% of whom were first-generation and low-income students.
