RootedInLocal

RootedInLocal is revolutionizing the local food supply chain through an online platform that connects consumers with locally grown food from small- to medium-sized regional producers. Today’s food supply chain is inefficient, costly, and fragile — in the U.S., fruits and vegetables travel an average of 1,300 miles and take around two days to reach consumers. RootedInLocal seeks to change that by strengthening local economies, empowering independent farmers, delivering fresher and more nutritious food, and reducing environmental impact through smarter, optimized distribution.
