Michael Slaby ’01, a former Brown varsity soccer player, found himself in the world of politics and entrepreneurship soon after graduation. Through his leadership experiences in both of the Obama Campaigns to the Head of Timshel, a technology company that builds platforms to drive human progress, Michael has become obsessed with changing and improving the world through technology and innovation.
Now, he is the Executive Director of Chicago Ideas, a movement built on one core belief: When a broad spectrum of thinkers and instigators share ideas, we have the power to transform our world. Join the Nelson Center and CIS’s Tech Summit for a discussion on how the entrepreneurial process has guided Michael through his roles as Obama’s Chief Integration and Innovation Officer to working on a startup like Timshel. How does Michael view social change? How can the intersections of technology and entrepreneurship impact the world?
