Tanner Laguatan ’18 (former PEIR): Virtual Office hours (IDEO Biz Designer in Res & future PM at Facebook)

Tanner is a Business Designer in Residence at IDEO CoLab. There, he’s working on a collaborative project with the World Bank and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to design solutions that promote financial inclusion in Indonesia. Before joining IDEO, he launched Empoly, a disability-focused recruitment startup that partnered with companies like Pinterest and Deloitte. After his IDEO residency, he’ll be joining Facebook as a Product Manager.

He graduated from Brown in 2018 with a degree in Comparative Literature. He’s stoked to talk about everything from human-centered design to entrepreneurship to what you can do with a degree in Comparative Literature (a lot)!
