Estela Morais Westphalen ’24 MPA’25

International and Public Affairs, Data Science Fluency ’24 & Masters of Public Affairs Candidate

Estela is a Master’s candidate in Public Affairs in the Watson Institute. She graduated this May from Brown University with a B.A. in International and Public Affairs as well as a Certificate in Data Fluency. 

Throughout her time at Brown, she has become heavily involved in the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship and has found her calling in the social entrepreneurship ecosystem. Estela is now Head of Partnerships for the Positive Impacts National Award in Brazil, weaving together impactful businesses and supporting actors to foster and scale development in Brazil. During her time at Brown, Estela has captained the Club Basketball team, played Club Soccer, facilitated cohorts for Effective Altruism, lifeguarded at our very own Aquatics Center, TA-ed for Professor Jessica Kim’s Entrepreneurship Practicum and Professor Bill Allen’s Social Entrepreneurship, dabbled in photography and headed the Brazilian Student Association Club.
