She reviews interesting and exotic product design failures and discusses how they relate to design best practices and the fundamentals of sound product development, including the importance of validating the value proposition early on, implementing safety and usability measures into product design and reinforcing a product’s purpose by understanding its use workflow.
About Jessica Pichs: With over twenty-two years of research experience including the application of a wide range of quantitative, qualitative and analytical skills, Jessica’s contextual inquiry and observation, human factors formative and validation work in the healthcare and med device field regularly reveals unique insights for product development commercialization and process improvement. She came to Ximedica from the advertising industry, where she helped build product and brand strategies for global clients in finance, automotive, beverage and pharmaceutical categories. Jessica graduated from the University College London with a degree in Law and is now based in Chicago IL.
