Monica Phan

Communications Coordinator

Monica is a first-generation Cambodian American who was born and raised in Providence. Determined to support the Southeast Asian population, she earned a degree in Health Studies from URI and became a certified community health worker. During her time working in public health non-profits, Monica developed a passion for graphic and web design and transitioned into the communications field. She is excited to spread the word about the Nelson Center’s offerings to Brown and the surrounding communities. When she’s not working, you can catch her walking her dog, Maru, or binge-watching horror movies.
