LAUREN BROWN

PEER Entrepreneur in Residence

Lauren is a senior from Atlanta, Georgia concentrating in Business, Entrepreneurship, and Organizations. Since getting involved in entrepreneurship during the spring of her first-year, Lauren has participated in a number of Nelson Center opportunities. This includes teaching for Young Entrepreneurs of Providence, sourcing Brown- and RISD-founded companies for Van Wickle Ventures, and meeting founders during the Synapse New York trip. During the 2020 summer, during Breakthrough Lab (B-Lab), Lauren launched her startup Figured that helps people with afro-textured hair find personalized advice and product recommendations. Outside of the Center, Lauren serves as the Co-Editor-in-Chief for the Brown Technology Review. She is excited to help members the Brown community realize the potential of their ideas and connect them with entrepreneurship resources and opportunities.
