SYNAPSE EAST AFRICA

Discover startups all over East Africa (Virtually)

ABOUT THE TRIP

The East Africa Synapse, led by Brown EP and sponsored by the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship, is a cohort program that brings innovators together in the fall and would ideally culminate in a trip to East Africa with 15 other Brown and RISD students to explore the region’s vibrant emerging entrepreneurial community. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, all events for this Synapse will take place virtually from February 14-16, 2021 through a series of Zoom events, filled with wonderful speakers, innovators, and thinkers. Although this year’s Synapse will be online and will not have the same in-person thrill, you still have the unbelievable privilege to connect with other Brown and RISD students and begin to explore a unique region of the world and learn about its business culture! We are putting a lot of effort into building the community and having plenty of breaks to mingle with the other students, but our schedule will be packed!

We are looking for thoughtful answers and genuine interest in startups. This is a special opportunity to get involved in East Africa’s developing environment of entrepreneurs that all wonder how they can bring about effective change. You will be engaging with every firm and each other. We are looking for respectful and excited individuals to join us. First-year students are welcome! And don’t be afraid to apply, your chances of attending are 0% if you don’t apply.

You must be on time, starting with these deadlines.
