Roundtable Discussion with Katie Guay ’05

November 30, 2021 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Katie Guay ’05, the first female to officiate in the American Hockey League, is joining us in-person for a Roundtable Discussion Tuesday, November 30th, from 4:30-5:30pm ET. Super exciting because we haven’t hosted an in-person speaker for the Roundtable Discussion series in almost a year!

A business economics and psychology major, Katie was a four year member of the Brown Women’s Hockey team. Following her playing career, Katie swapped her stick for a whistle and has been officiating all levels of ice hockey. In 2016, she became the first female to officiate NCAA Division I Men’s Hockey and has skated a game at Madison Square Garden as well as the Beanpot Tournament in the TD Garden in Boston. In 2018, she officiated at the XXIII Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea! She skated in the NCAA Division I Women’s Frozen Four Finals in 2019 and 2021 and has also attended the NHL Officiating Exposure Combine.
