(Canceled event) Staff Development Day: Building Inclusive Entrepreneurial Ecosystems

June 11, 2019 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Entrepreneurial ecosystems emerge out of the dynamic exchanges and relationship between entrepreneurs, organizations that support entrepreneurship and institutions. In many cities in the US and globally, economic development policies and efforts have focused on entrepreneurship as an important economic priority. As inequality rises, building entrepreneurial ecosystems that fully support women and minority-owned enterprises can lead to inclusive economic growth. This talk will focus on efforts, organizations, and policies across different cities and states to support inclusive economic growth and entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Speaker: Banu Ozkazanc-Pan, Ph.D.
Visiting Associate Professor of Sociology, Brown University; Associate Professor of Management, University of Massachusetts, Boston
